LOCTITE LB 8801 is a non-curing, silicone-based dielectric grease designed for industrial lubrication, sealing, moisture protection and electrical insulation. Henkel IDH 234317 is supplied in a 5.3 oz tube and is also identified by Loctite item number 51360. LB 8801 can be used on metal, rubber and plastic parts and is suitable for applications including O-rings, stopcocks, plug valves, ball valves, valve stem packing, shafts and electrical contacts. The silicone grease provides a moisture barrier and helps protect electrical connections from water infiltration, arcing and moisture-related conductive films. The lubricant resists water and water-based fluids, alcohols, mineral oils and vegetable oils. It is non-curing and water resistant, making it useful for industrial maintenance applications where long-lasting lubrication, sealing and moisture protection are required. Manufacturer technical data also specifies a dielectric strength of 22.8 kV/mm per IEC 60243-1. LOCTITE LB 8801 has an unworked penetration of 250–400 (1/10 mm) per ISO 2137.
