All Stainless Steel SNASP Series Standard Duty Pillow Block ball bearing unit features a Stainless-Steel housing and a Stainless-Steel ball bearing insert with flinger seals and eccentric collar lock. The housing is made of 304 grade Stainless Steel for maximum corrosion resistance while providing rigidity and vibration dampening. The housing has a solid base for mounting stability, and to eliminate crevices that act as entrapment points in wash-down applications ~~ The double-sealed, deep-groove ball bearing insert is made of 440 grade Stainless and is appropriate for applications with moderate radial loads and light thrust or combination loads. It has a wide inner ring on both sides for increased shaft support and reduced inner-ring tilt for smooth operation. ~~ The insert bearing has a sphered outer surface that allows it to self-align within the housing & compensate for misalignments. It also has an anti-rotation pin in outer surface that prevents the bearings from spinning within the housing and ensures smooth performance. 300 Series Stainless Steel-reinforced molded rubber lip seals with flingers on both sides of the bearing retain the high-quality Food Grade multi-purpose lubricant and deflect contaminants away from the seals. ~~ The bearing locks onto the shaft utilizing its included eccentric locking collar. Eccentric Collar locking units are suitable for low to moderate speed applications where the shaft rotates in one direction. The unit is equipped with a grease fitting on the housing’s outer surface for reapplying lubricant, and the insert bearing has a groove and oil hole in the outer ring to efficiently channel grease into the bearing during re-lubrication. ~~ Stainless Steel Ball Bearing Pillow Block units are suitable for use in industrial and commercial applications that require corrosion resistance due to frequent wash-downs or are operating in a caustic environments such as food processing equipment and machinery, and pharmaceutical producing / processing equipment, among many others.
