SBFL Series Light Duty 2-Bolt Flange ball bearing unit features a cast iron housing and a ball bearing insert with set screw lock. The housing is made of cast iron for rigidity and vibration dampening, and has a solid base for mounting stability. The double-sealed, deep-groove ball bearing insert is made of through-hardened chromium steel and is appropriate for applications with moderate radial loads and light thrust or combination loads. The insert bearing has a sphered outer surface that allows it to self-align within the housing & compensate for misalignments. Steel-reinforced molded rubber lip seals on both sides of the bearing retain the high quality multi-purpose lubricant and deflect contaminants away from the seals. ~~ The bearing locks onto the shaft with two set screws spaced 120 degrees apart for a three-point contact hold. Set screw locking is suitable for low to moderate speed applications where the shaft rotates in a single or reversing direction. The unit is equipped with a grease fitting on the housing’s outer surface for reapplying lubricant, and the insert bearing has a groove and oil hole in the outer ring to efficiently channel grease into the bearing during re-lubrication. ~~ Ball Bearing Pillow Block units are suitable for use in industrial and commercial applications including industrial machinery, conveyors, fans/blowers, agricultural equipment, construction machinery, exercise equipment, and food processing equipment, among many others.
