SA series insert bearings are double-sealed deep-groove ball bearings made of through-hardened chromium steel and are appropriate for applications with moderate radial loads and light thrust or combination loads. The bearing has a sphered outer surface that allows it to self-align within the housing & compensate for misalignments. ~~ Steel-reinforced molded rubber lip seals on both sides of the bearing retain the high quality multi-purpose lubricant and prevent contaminants from entering the raceway. The bearing locks onto the shaft utilizing its included eccentric locking collar. Eccentric Collar locking units are suitable for low to moderate speed applications where the shaft rotates in one direction. ~~ Insert bearings arrive fully lubricated and ready for use. SA inserts with the G suffix can also be re- lubricated as needed. ~~ These Insert bearings are designed for use in pillow block or flange units, made to AFBMA standards, interchangeable, and can be used in housings produced by most manufacturers. Ball Bearing mounted units using these inserts are suitable for use in industrial and commercial applications including industrial machinery, conveyors, fans/blowers, agricultural equipment, construction machinery, exercise equipment, and food processing equipment, among many others.
