Deep groove ball bearings are versatile, self-retaining bearings with solid outer rings, inner rings and ball and cage assemblies. These bearings with their simple design, high resistance and low-maintenance, are available in single-row and double-row designs, as well as sealed and unsealed. Due to the manufacturing processes used, open bearings can have turned recesses in the outer ring for seals or shields.

FAG 6310-2RSR-L038-C3 is a 63 Series single-row deep groove ball bearing for a 50 mm shaft, with 110 mm outside diameter and 27 mm width. Contact rubber seals on both sides provide an integrated barrier against contaminants while retaining lubricant, and the C3 internal-clearance specification provides more radial clearance than a normal bearing. The L038 designation identifies Mobil Polyrex EM grease. Its sheet-steel cage and deep-groove raceway support efficient radial operation while also accommodating axial load in either direction. Rated capacity is 68 kN dynamic and 38.5 kN static, with a 3,950 rpm maximum speed and -20 to 100 °C operating range.
